In this piece, I combine my love for yoga and art in a way that I hope makes you smile, think, or even go,
“Wait, is that a cow yoga art?”
Yes, it is.
Three bits of info about me:
- I’ve been teaching yoga since 2010.
- I paint as a coping strategy for my adult ADHD.
- I love cows.
If you’re silently asking yourself:
Why does he love cows?
Every day go for walks with our dog (Finn) past a field full of cows, and always stop to say, “Hello“. I’m vegan. Instead of eating cows, I paint them.
This piece is painted with acrylics on canvas, combining an impressionistic and naive style. It’s an original artwork on canvas (46cm x 136cm), and was painted in my West Wales studio in 2024.

The Painting On My Easel
Here’s the painting, caught in the wild on my easel, mere moments after I finished it. I have a rule: once I take that photo, the painting is officially done. No more tweaks, edits, or “just one little fix”—it’s out of my hands! It’s like sealing a time capsule, except instead of memories, it’s me hoping I didn’t miss a weird smudge. But hey, that’s the thrill of art, right?
My Local Cow
Below is a photo of Carole, my local cow and unexpected muse. She lives in a field just up the road from me here in West Wales and is always the first to greet me with her curious, Zen-like calm (or maybe just an interest in my collie dog, Finn). The other cows, of course, follow her lead because, let’s be honest, Carole’s a trendsetter. It was her peaceful, unbothered vibe that inspired my Yoga Cow painting. Thanks for the inspiration, Carole. Namaste, and moo to you!
